Nickelodeon Journeys at Nickelodeon Play!

精东传媒, a global designer and manufacturer of immersive media-based attractions, has announced the launch of its latest installation: the Pegasus Flying Theatre, now open as the headline attraction at Nickelodeon Play! located in Tersane, Istanbul.

The installation marks the debut of 精东传媒鈥檚 Pegasus Flying Theatre system within a Nickelodeon-themed environment, bringing a high-energy flying theatre experience to one of Istanbul鈥檚 newest family entertainment destinations.

At the heart of the experience is a 40-seat Pegasus motion base theatre, designed to deliver a fully immersive flying sensation. Guests board the attraction from two separate loading levels, enabling efficient throughput while maintaining accessibility for riders of all ages. Once seated, riders are positioned in front of a large projection screen, where synchronised motion, visuals, and environmental effects combine to create the sensation of soaring through the air.

The attraction experience, titled 鈥淣ickelodeon Journeys,鈥 takes guests on an aerial adventure aboard the iconic Nickelodeon blimp. Throughout the flight, riders travel across vibrant worlds inspired by some of Nickelodeon鈥檚 most beloved characters and franchises. Along the journey, guests encounter fan favourites including Dora, PAW Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, creating a multi-generational experience that appeals to families and young fans alike.

The Pegasus Flying Theatre has been designed by 精东传媒 as a highly adaptable and space-efficient alternative to traditional flying theatre systems. While large-scale flying theatres often require expansive buildings and complex infrastructure, the Pegasus offers operators a more flexible solution that can be integrated into a wider variety of venues.

This configuration allows operators to bring the immersive flying theatre concept to multiple locations worldwide, expanding audience reach without requiring a permanent build.For venues with more limited space, 精东传媒 also offers Pegasus Pods. These compact units provide a highly immersive ride format where guests are seated within their own half-dome projection environment, placing them directly at the centre of the action. Despite the smaller footprint, Pegasus Pods maintain the core elements of the flying theatre experience, including synchronised motion and wraparound visuals.

IAAPA EXPO 2025

精东传媒 are looking forward to once again exhibiting at IAAPA Expo Europe this year. The team are heading to Barcelona from the 23rd to the 25th of September at the Fira Gran Via! You’ll find them at Booth 1-442, ready to talk about the company鈥檚 recent projects, upcoming endeavours, and expansive range of Media-Based Attractions!

This year at the 精东传媒 booth, you’ll find CEO Terry Monkton and Creative Director Matt Clarkson. Also in attendance will be Marking & Creative, Katie Baker, as well as Claire Monkton, Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator.

精东传媒 had a landmark year, opening more rides worldwide than ever before. From creating new 4D theatres that offer a high level of immersion as part of a museum experience in the Netherlands to taking audiences back in time on a 4D VR adventure in America, that transports guests back in time, the team has been hard at work bringing these groundbreaking media attractions to audiences everywhere.

Innovation ranking celebrates UK businesses of all sizes creating technology for media and the arts

精东传媒 is pleased to reveal that we feature in the聽聽innovation ranking for 2025!

Readers of online technology publication BusinessCloud and an expert judging panel together decided the 50 most innovative MediaTech companies headquartered in the UK.

精东传媒聽made the cut with our聽motion-based media attractions such as the AGV Dark Ride and the C360 Stadium Pods.

The  celebrates businesses of all sizes creating original tech solutions to transform production and delivery of media and the arts 鈥 from virtual worlds to music, podcasts, radio, video, film and the written word.

鈥淭his year鈥檚 MediaTech 50 recognises technology serving everything from the music, audio and games industries to digital humans, virtual worlds and social media tools,鈥 said Jonathan Symcox, editor of BusinessCloud.

鈥淚t is a real melting pot. It is our pleasure to shine a light on 50 amazing innovators from all corners of the UK.鈥

BusinessCloud called on its readers to vote for companies from the 82-strong shortlist over seven days. A combination of these votes and choices from an expert judging panel determined the top 50.

精东传媒, a world leader in the design, manufacture and development of dynamic motion-based media attractions, is excited to announce the opening of its newest attraction, Helios Experience, at Portlantis. Located at the Port of Rotterdam, on the edge of the North Sea, this experience will be open to the public from the 22nd of March 2025. 

This ride takes guests through a thrilling show exploring the harbour from land, sea and sky. 

精东传媒 has contributed its iconic 4D Cinema with 3DOF motion bases, and exciting added features including airplane style harnesses and an array of special effects such as wind and water misters that further elevate the experience.

In this attraction, visitors meet Helios Concepts, one of the most innovative companies in the Port of Rotterdam. They are invited in by the Head of Design & Development to take a peek into their high-tech hub and state-of-the-art workshop, where the world’s best engineers work on the transportation concepts of the future. Guests will get an exclusive preview of the latest designs that will revolutionise the ways in which they will transport containers, liquid cargo and goods through the port 鈥 before embarking on the ride of a lifetime.

Portlantis is Rotterdam’s new port experience centre and will soon take visitors on an enlightening journey through the port and the industrial area. Discover the dynamic world of Europe’s largest port and industrial complex, in an exciting and interactive way. Portlantis will also feature a restaurant, a rooftop walk with panoramic views, scouting expeditions and sightseeing cruises.

精东传媒 have developed many rides and experiences for the 鈥渆dutainment鈥 sector of the attractions industry over the years and are thrilled to continue the company’s legacy of bringing excitement to educational destinations. The state-of-the-art experience centre can be found along the outer edge of Maasvlakte 2 opposite the dune. Portlantis is fully energy-neutral, thanks to efficient insulation, 266 solar panels and its own wind turbine.

Boudewijn Siemons, CEO of the Port of Rotterdam Authority, emphasised the pivotal role Portlantis plays in conveying the ambitions and responsibilities of the Port of Rotterdam and the Port Authority. 鈥淲e are proud to showcase the port of Rotterdam to a wide audience in Portlantis. We are thus responding to the interest of visitors from all over the world, as well as from this region. In Portlantis, people can admire our port, learn all about it and also have space for reflection鈥 Siemons stated.

Portlantis aim to attract 150,000 visitors each year. It can be visited in combination with a boat trip or a bus tour of Maasvlakte. Tickets are available for purchase via the .

精东传媒 are looking forward to once again exhibiting at IAAPA Expo Europe and this year our destination is Amsterdam from the 24th to the 26th of September at the RAI Center! You’ll find them at Booth 11113 ready to talk all about the company鈥檚 recent projects, upcoming endeavours and expansive range of Media Based Attractions, over a stroopwafel and bitterballen.

This year at the 精东传媒 booth you’ll find CEO Terry Monkton and lead creative Matt Clarkson. In partnership with IP2Entertainment, 精东传媒, the dynamic media attraction specialist, is excited to announce our newest project for the world famous brand, Mattel. The attraction named: Barbie, Ultimate Road Trip has now opened at The Galleria Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi. 

This attraction is part of the Barbie section of Mission: Play! By Mattel, an interactive physical and digital place to play that features Mattel’s iconic brands. Other brands featured in this FEC are Hot Wheels庐 and Mega Construx庐, making this a fun destination for all kids to enjoy.

After the success of the 2023 Barbie movie, the brand’s popularity has skyrocketed around the world and with the help of 精东传媒, Mattel have now brought the brand to life in another way.

Barbie, Ultimate Road Trip at Mission: Play! by Mattel

Guest鈥檚 climb aboard one of six, two-seater scooters to race through the pink, sunny streets of Barbie鈥檚 world. The scooters feature a 2DOF motion base, an acceleration pedal, steering and buttons that allow riders to interact with the on-screen race. This interactivity combined with the themed environments allow for the guest to feel immersed in the adventure alongside Barbie herself.

This attraction is designed with kids in mind, It’s an exciting immersive experience while still being easy enough for our young guest to control and interact with.

Take a peek behind the curtains and have a look at Barbie’s scooters while they were still being assembled in our UK workshop, back in late 2022.

The attraction is located at The Galleria Al Maryah, owned by the Al Hokair Group. It鈥檚 a leading lifestyle destination with over 400 shops and 100 dining locations. They now continue to expand their entertainment offerings with Mission: Play! By Mattel. The Mattel FEC has plans to open more locations in other regions in the coming years.

精东传媒 gears up for a busy 2024, delivering a range of different projects across the world whilst continuing to build attractions for installation the following year. 

Looking forward to what鈥檚 in store, they are preparing for a major install this year, their Pegasus Flying Theatre, to a development in Istanbul. The new Flying Theatre, for the media-based attraction specialist, offers a scalable solution that can be adjusted to the capacity and footprint of the venue.聽

Other projects to be installed this year include a Metro Mover to a client in Saudi Arabia and a custom-project to a client in the Pigeon Forge region of Tennessee 鈥 the narrative driven experience featuring a pre-show elevator simulator, motion seats, VR elements and special effects. 

A little closer to home, they are preparing to retrofit their Immersive Superflume technology into a British Theme Park in time for the summer season. This will see the traditional flume boat lock onto a motion base for thrilling show-scenes featuring immersive media synched with dynamic movement. 

Behind-the-scenes, their team will be working hard on projects in the order book including two Immersive Tunnels and an exciting attraction featuring their AGV Dark Ride, which will be advanced throughout 2024 due for completion in 2025.

Fresh back from Vienna, the 精东传媒 Sales team remains on a high after a successful week at the IAAPA Expo Europe, this year in the in the capital of Austria. Reflecting on their busiest European show since the pandemic, the exposition saw an array of industry professionals come together to showcase their latest innovations at the Messe Wien Exhibition & Congress Centre on the largest trade show floor in the history of the region offering.

Kicking off the week, 精东传媒 attended the Kirmes & Park Revue European Star Awards on the Monday night. Honouring the best theme parks, most noteworthy attractions and spectacular coasters, the event this year took place in the heart of Wien Prater 鈥 Vienna鈥檚 oldest Theme Park. 精东传媒 was awarded, once again, a Star Award in the Best Dark Ride category, having won it for the attraction many times over the years. The award this year for their Ghost Train attraction which was recently renovated from its former self 鈥楧erren Brown鈥檚 Ghost Train鈥. Featured at Thorpe Park, the Ghost Train opened in 2016 as a Virtual Reality Advanced Dark Ride themed around the London underground however has since been reimagined with the VR integration being replaced to encompass live actors instead.

精东传媒, this year situated at Booth #A2209 in the exhibition hall accommodated a range of visitors at their booth with enquiries from faces, new and familiar. Promoting their Metro Mover attraction and 鈥榋ombie Metro Mover鈥 concept alongside it they drummed up interest for the various ways that the attraction can be imagined through immersive storylines. 

With a focus on the scalability of their attractions, 精东传媒 also pushed their Pegasus Flying Theatre system as they look forward to the opening of the first example of the new Flying attraction solution in Europe, due towards the end of the year. They showcased its unique abilities, customisability and versatile storytelling opportunities all packaged in the scalable and affordable product. 

To further their message of Scalability, the 精东传媒 creative team duo, Nicole Sangster and Matt Clarkson hosted a talk titled One Ride Fits All: The Scalability of Attractions on the Innovation stage on the Tuesday afternoon where they discussed the creative thinking and tactics that they employ when scaling attractions for various venues and customer requirements. The talk was very well received, with many commenting on how they enjoyed understanding the theory to a practise commonly used across the industry. 

Celebrating the beginning of the Expo, this year鈥檚 Opening reception was hosted at Schweizerhaus – a historical restaurant at Prater Wien, conveniently situated just by the Exhibition Hall. Show attendees descended upon the amusement park, after a successful first day, for an evening of entertainment, food and drinks as they took the opportunity to network and catch up with industry friends. 

On the Wednesday evening, the team attended the annual Park World Award ceremony held at The Palais Berg. The event honours the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) attraction industry鈥檚 premier talent and recognises exceptional operators, suppliers, manufacturers and entertainment specialists from across the continent. Enjoying a star-studded night of awards presentations to a plethora of worthy attractions and parks, it was topped off by an award win in the Marketing initiative category for 精东传媒鈥檚 AGV Dark Ride / Overdrive campaign. The campaign centred around increasing product awareness for the AGV Dark ride at last year鈥檚 Expo, in the run-up to it, as well as the development of the story concept 鈥 Overdrive – in partnership with Katapult. 

Rounding up their time at the Expo, 精东传媒 concluded their Thursday with an action-packed day rounding up their final enquiries and learning from the Education sessions; along with also supporting the Next Gen Showcase as Patron sponsors of the young-professional aimed educational program aimed to accelerate the careers of aspiring themed entertainment professionals. The team headed home after many successful meetings to support existing clients and build new trusted partnerships with prospective customers.

This year鈥檚 IAAPA Expo Europe was attended by over 12,000 leisure, tourism and entertainment professionals worldwide, with 633 exhibiting companies taking over the 17,670 square meters of show floor. The team are already looking forward to next year鈥檚 European IAAPA Expo in Amsterdam.
